A Sweet Spring Inspired Plant Stand

title-page

Happy Wednesday Friends!

I am so ready for warm, sunny Spring weather! I always get a burst of energy and get so ready to tackle projects in the house and yard this time of year. I am continuing to heal from the surgery I had in February and still need to take it easier than normal, but am working on getting things organized to do a couple of projects here and there as I can.

Each Spring I love to simplify the surfaces of our house. I enjoy clearing the house of its normal visual clutter.

After a long winter, I love to bring new plants into our home. With clean surfaces the greenery adds a feeling of freshness and new that is so refreshing. As the weather warms some of the plants transition to our deck where they get plenty of sunshine throughout the Summer too.

I will admit I don’t have much of a green thumb, but each year I try! Most often my plants don’t last throughout the Winter months inside our house. I do have one lonely plant that has lasted 3 years now which I am quite proud of!

I have had this little plant stand now for a few years too. It was a shabby brown and needed a fresh coat of paint to give it a more updated look. I usually default to the same paint colors when I am updating a piece of furniture and for this little plant stand I chose one of my favorite shades of turquoise blue:  Rust-Oleum Chalk Paint Serenity Blue

  1. Such a pretty color!! lol, your skill with plants seem to align with my own. I have two plants that have survived for a few years now . . .I consider it to be quite an accomplishment 🙂

  2. I am loving the color of this stand; I’ve always debated picking this one out at the store but wasn’t sure what it would look like in real life. You’ve definitely sold me on it 🙂
