Happy Saturday Friends!
One of the highlights of my Summer was attending a pickling workshop hosted by a few bloggers that I have been following for some time.
When I seen that Abby was going to be hosting the workshop and Natalie was traveling to Michigan to share her pickling expertise I jumped on the chance to attend. Megan was also there to lead us in a fun craft!
I have been following these ladies for a number of years through blogging & Instagram. They all are so talented and a great source of inspiration.
To say the least, I was very nervous to make the trek to Abby’s wonderful homestead because I was attending by myself and didn’t know what to expect.
Abby has a beautiful home full of character and vintage goodness. She created a very welcoming atmosphere where all the ladies who were in attendance couldn’t help, but feel comfortable.
Natalie jumped right in sharing her two pickling recipes.
Quick & Easy Pickled Beets
&
Honey Sweetened Quick Dill Pickles
They both turned out delicious.
After finishing up the pickling portion of the workshop and getting a full tour of Abby’s home we headed out to her massive front porch where Megan led us in a cute mason jar craft.
Towards the end of our time at the workshop Abby surprised us with a SWAG bag full of wonderful items from some of the Makers at The Found Cottage.
I can’t wait to attend another Found Cottage gathering in the near future.
