Happy Tuesday Friends!
I am so happy to get December started! Not only do I love the Holidays, but my husband’s high school basketball season gets started. This year he is coaching in a new school with a varsity boys’ Team rather than a varsity girls’ team so it will be a little bit of a change for us, but we are very much looking forward to the change. My work schedule slows down for a couple of months which after a busy Spring, Summer, and Fall the slower pace will be very appreciated.
Last week was such a busy week, for those reading who do not know me, I am the Chamber Director is our small Michigan town. The weekend following Thanksgiving we hold an annual Holiday kickoff festival in which I am in charge of. It is a lot of fun, but also a lot of work! To top last week off I also became sick the previous weekend. I am feeling much, much better now and am excited to share a little bit of Christmas inspiration from our previous home.
Sick or not, our little guy has been so excited to get everything Christmas decoration out. He wasn’t going to let last weekend get by without putting up our tree. It took me a couple of days of working on things here and there when I had the energy and time, but we did finally get some things decorated.
Here he is standing on the stairwell of our old home. He was a big helper last year too. He typically is very good at helping around the house. He is close to being five now, but even when he was three he loved to help with laundry and in the kitchen. I always try to use those times as teachable moments and reinforce what he is learning in preschool.
Here are a few more pictures from last year!
I can’t wait to gather photos from this year to share too! It has been so much fun decorating our new house for the Holidays.
On Wednesday I am hosting my annual vintage sled decorating Let’s Create Workshop.
It is my third year hosting this event. Every year I get my hands on a handful of vintage sleds for the workshop. I invite previous year attendees back each year to decorate their sleds too.
It is one of my most favorite events of the year because I love giving the forgotten sleds a new home. I also love helping the ladies construct and decorate an evergreen swag to hang on their sleds.
Thanks for stopping by!
